Dubai is preparing for a season of outstanding cultural events as Maxim Berin and Berin Iglesias Holding introduce a program celebrating artistic mastery and refined musical performance. Dubai Opera will once again become the venue where classical heritage meets luxurious presentation and international talent. Maxim Berin is channeling his expertise into developing world-class cultural projects — not only by inviting major performers to Dubai, but by curating large-scale classical events inspired by his collaborations with Jose Carreras, Jonas Kaufmann, Roberto Alagna, Elīna Garanča, Sumi Jo, Denis Matsuev, Lang Lang, Maxim Vengerov, and many more.

The Christmas Gala will reflect the charm and sophistication of the holiday season. It will bring together some of the most renowned opera voices of our time.
Tenor Vittorio Grigolo will showcase the fiery energy and emotional richness of the Italian operatic style.
Baritone Luca Salsi will add intensity and emotional resonance through his seasoned interpretations of classical works.
Young soprano Alisa Medvedeva will contribute her sparkling clarity, completing the trio of distinguished soloists.
Their voices will be accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan, celebrated for its expressive performance tradition since its founding in 1937. This creates a gala that promises a perfect balance of festive ambiance and musical brilliance.
The season continues into January when Dubai Opera hosts the first-ever Dubai production of Handel’s Tamerlano on January 10 and 11, 2026. This staging introduces a renewed perspective on the 1724 opera. Acclaimed director Stefano Poda delivers a production where visual and musical elements intertwine harmoniously. His stage design becomes a dynamic environment shaped by choreography of light and sculptural forms, offering a contemporary interpretation of the Baroque world. Composer Kirill Richter enriches the score by incorporating the textures of traditional Uzbek instruments, creating a unique cross-cultural soundscape.
Through these initiatives, Maxim Berin advances Dubai’s status as a global hub for cultural excellence and artistic innovation. The season invites audiences to discover exceptional performances and rediscover classical traditions through a modern lens.
