Renowned Japanese entertainer Hideyuki Nakayama, a household name with a 40-year legacy in Japanese show business, is set to unveil a new creative identity on the international stage. Known for his dynamic presence in television and entertainment, Nakayama will make his world debut as a calligrapher at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival on May 22, 2025.
This milestone event will take place at the Majestic Hotel Cannes, beginning at 7:00 PM, during the Beach Ball 2025 Charity Dinner & Congress Awards.
Joining Nakayama in this special showcase is Yusuke Akamatsu, a Europe-based digital finger painter celebrated for creating intricate artworks using only a smartphone. With over 25 years of global travel and exhibitions, Akamatsu brings a modern, tech-driven perspective to the art world. 
The event also marks a deeply personal moment: the first reunion in 40 years between Nakayama and Akamatsu. Once childhood acquaintances, they now return to the spotlight together — merging ancient calligraphy with digital artistry in a striking expression of heritage, innovation, and reconnection.
