Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire – With over two decades of expertise in construction and public works, Dr. Jules Konan has emerged as a key figure in Côte d’Ivoire’s infrastructure development. A civil engineer by training, he graduated from the prestigious Félix Houphouët Boigny National Polytechnic Institute in Yamoussoukro and quickly rose to leadership positions before founding Ingénierie et Travaux Akoutrou (I.T.A).
Under his leadership, I.T.A has grown exponentially, multiplying its initial capital by 150 and earning national and international recognition. In September 2023, the company received the National Prize of Excellence for Best Drinking Water Supply Company, awarded by the President of Côte d’Ivoire. This was followed by a series of prestigious honors, including the Super Prix DIAMANT Félix Houphouët Boigny 2023, the Grand Prix OR for Builder of the Emerging Ivorian Economy 2024, and the Nelson Mandela 2024 Prize for Best Construction Company in Côte d’Ivoire.
Beyond business success, Dr. Konan’s leadership and commitment to corporate social responsibility have distinguished him in the industry. His company secured ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 certifications, placing I.T.A among the few Ivorian firms meeting international quality and safety standards. His influence has also earned him Doctor Honoris Causa titles from Dubai Blockchain University and Glory International University (USA). 
As I.T.A expands its presence beyond Côte d’Ivoire, with representations in Togo and Dubai, Dr. Konan continues to solidify his legacy as a visionary leader in Africa’s construction sector.
